The Recycling Center is open to Ridgewood residents and businesses (no landscapers.) Please have materials properly separated, in the trunk of your vehicle, and follow instructions from our attendant. Household and bulky trash are not accepted.
Plastic bottles, jars, jugs, and dairy tubs only No: Plastic fruit/vegetable/bakery/deli containers/food trays/cups/utensils are not accepted
Aluminum and steel cans
Food and Beverage Cartons: Shelf-Stable "flat top" and Refrigerated "gable top" (e.g. milk, juice, soup, broth, wine)
Newsprint Magazines, catalogs, office paper, and direct mail
Corrugated cardboard and paper bags
Appliances and metals
Tires
Automobile Batteries
Clothing and Textiles including shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, drapes, pillowcases and stuffed animals. (No rags, no fabric scraps, no pillows, no toys and no household goods. These items are a hardship and expense to dispose of.)
Inkjet and Laser Printer Cartridges
Electronics (TVs, VCRs, DVD players, monitors, computers, printers, desktop copy machines, hard drives, video game consoles, radios, stereos, cellular phones, electronic tablets, e-book readers, etc.)
Foam Packaging (Only white, clean "block" type foam material - must be free of tape, ink, and labels -No packing peanuts - No egg cartons, cups, or food containers - No colored foam to No wet or dirty foam)
Books for Donation (Hard and Soft Covered) - must be in good, readable condition with an ISBN barcode label on the book cover before being placed in our book donation box. (For donation, we cannot accept books that do not have an ISBN barcode on the cover. We also cannot accept encyclopedias, magazines or water damaged books.)
